Good Leader

Becoming a good leader is a very difficult task. I know I am still far… far away to become a good leader, but indeed I am trying to be one. I think three main aspects to become a good leader is: Knowledge, Experience, and Commit (Entrust).
You need to have knowledge about the thing you are going to lead. For example: in a construction project, you need to have civil engineering/architecture background. In factory, you might need industrial or chemical or mechanical engineering background. This knowledge might not come from formal education only. You could learn it by yourself, from books, journals, experts, or maybe from your own experiences.
Experience. No doubt, to become a good leader you need to have a good experience. Like I said before, experiences could also become a good knowledge for you. The simplest way to make your experience become a good experience and soon become a good knowlege is “Learning by Doing”. By that I mean: you need to remember that everything that you are doing right now is the process for you to learn something new.

The last is the most difficult part is commit. Making other people commit/entrust you fully is the most difficult job, especially if you are younger or maybe newer (recently join to a company) or maybe you have lower rank/place in the company structure. It is main key of the art of leadership. You do not need to become Project Manager first to become a good leader.
A good leader is someone that can unite all of the people and make them work together in a good teamwork.
For me, generally, like I said before I am far.. far away from a good leader. Sometimes I feel that sometimes my commands or my opinions was not heard by some people because I am younger than them and less experience. But I think, slow but sure, I am learning to be a good leader, in my job also in my family..
